Average U.S. Smartphone Data Usage Up 89%

This may not surprise us; In fact the growth of data consumption may remain at the same pace for next couple of years. The fact that the cost of data going down to 46% is worrisome. At&t and Verizon ditched their unlimited plans this will help the top 10% to pay more for their data consumption. So far the consumers are paying for data, this model may not be sustainable in long run, We need to influence the application/service providers to share some of costs along with the consumer. There is great need of innovation in new business models.

Key takeaway: Smart phone data growth will continue, we need to find new business models apart from charging customers for data.
